A whirlwind of a month!

I am a little behind on "blogging" but December was a whirlwind! Let see I will start at the beginning...I left my job at The Waterford after a long stretch of four years on December 12th. I was really nervous to make a change because I have always enjoyed what I did but felt that I needed more of a challenge. I started as Director of Sales at Cabot Lodge Jackson North on December 15th and absolutely LOVE it. It was a great move and at a good time. We are actually re-launching the hotel as a brand new hotel around March or April...so that will be an exciting time to be there but lots of work!! But it will be worth it...
The day before I started work on December 14th was probably one of the hardest days I have seen in a very, very long time. We had to put our sweet dog to rest. It turned out that she had either a stroke or aneurysm...so at least she wasn't poisoned like we first thought. We still get very upset about her...I cried yesterday after I picked her her pillow she slept on in the living room. It's horrible! However, after thinking long and hard, we have decided to get another Weimaraner and have been researching for the best breeder. We found a lady we really like down in Bay St. Louis and she is looking to breed her baby within the next month...so hopefully we will have a baby weim in early spring. We have been really careful trying to find a breeder this time because naturally we want a healthy dog that has strong, positive genetics. I will keep you posted on that as the time comes!
Next is Christmas...which was so much fun this year! First was Christmas in Corinth then here in Jackson. Hayden really loved it! Joey, Hayden and I spent Christmas Eve making homemade candy, sausage balls, pigs n blankets, decorated cookies for Santa Claus...you name it we had it! It was funny when we got done because...we made ALL THIS STUFF and it was just us. Ha! Oh well, it was really fun and we made lots of memories! Thankfully, none went to waste...my family all came over our house on Christmas Day and we snacked on it til it was gone.

So much fun to stomp in the MUD!!!
Christmas with TaTa, Brent, Blake & Mattie Frances...we tried to get a group pic but a pic with Hayden is virtually impossible these days. So we take what we can get!
And finally at then end of Christmas weekend...This was Hayden's way to hold Mia & PePop up...he was making her sit and block the door! He did NOT want them to leave...threw a fit! Next time, Mia & Pepop will have to just take him with them! This was the first time he really put it together that they were "leaving" and it wasn't good!! So sad! He would rather be with his grandparents...do you blame him? He is so catered to when they are around!! Its sickening! He does NO wrong!
